Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc.GIS AnalystThe IT Team requires a GIS Analyst with excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to manage deadlines. Responsibilities include, map production, data management, GIS infrastructure maintenance, GIS spatial analysis, technical and custom application support, scripting, programming, training, strategic development and implementation of new technology along with budgeting and planning.
A university degree in geography, forestry or a related discipline, accompanied with formalized GIS training is preferred. A minimum of 3 years GIS experience with ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, ArcWorkstation along with scripting experience using Python and AML would be assets. Proven expertise in development and implementation of quality controls and standards, operating procedures related to management, production and processing of GIS data are a must. Knowledge of database management/design concepts is essential.
