Crown Land Use Planning Team Leader

If you are looking for an opportunity to apply your leadership and expertise on Crown land use and planning policy, then join the team at the Policy and Planning Coordination Branch of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

You will provide leadership and expert advice on Crown land use and planning policy; lead the evaluation and development of provincial Crown land use planning policies and guidelines; provide leadership and indirect supervision of activities of the Crown land planning team; analyse, evaluate and develop ministry positions on Crown land use planning issues; provide leadership and expert advice on stakeholder consultation and liaison to consult, seek advice and communicate information; provide leadership for the operational role of the section related to the development and maintenance of the Crown Land Use Policy Atlas and the processing of land use amendments.


Qualifications:demonstrated leadership, project management and teamwork skills; strong negotiation, facilitation, networking and conflict resolution skills; experience in policy review, interpretation and policy development initiatives; strong analytical and research skills, strategic thinking and creativity; excellent written and verbal communications skills; knowledge of the procedures and practices of land use planning on Crown land, related natural resource management policy, decision making processes, policy development principles and project management.
