The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Election Event Services Division, is seeking a dynamic leader with strong planning, project management, and relationship management experience to manage the Target Registration & Revision and Permanent Register of Electors (PREO) Products & Processes projects.
The Target Registration & Revision project requires you to:
· Review, research and develop strategies for target registration and revision, including traditional target registration activities during the Writ period, and revision activities prior to the Writ period to enhance accuracy of the list;
· Research and apply new approaches and specialized outreach strategies in those areas where there is a need to improve the quality of the list; and
· Develop and implement a communications strategy to increase electors’ responsibility to keep their information current and accurate with Elections Ontario.
The PREO Products & Processes project requires you to:
· Review, draft, revise, and document PREO processes regarding the maintenance, creation and distribution of PREO products;
· Review and document existing elector and geographic products created from PREO; and
· Prepare a communications strategy in accordance with legislative requirements to inform stakeholders about policies that affect the PREO.
Qualifications:
· Expertise and demonstrated experience managing complex and concurrent projects while successfully applying strategic planning, project management and project planning functions, methodologies, practices and tools;
· Knowledge of PREO products and processes;
· Understanding of the Election Act and other related legislation, regulations and policies affecting the operations of Elections Ontario;
· Sound knowledge of financial planning processes and practices;
· Demonstrated management and leadership experience;
· Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills;
· Highly-developed analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills; and
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
