Ontario Public ServiceEnvironmental Planner - HeritageJoin the Ministry of Transportation as an Environmental Planner - Heritage where you will coordinate and ensure that the historical component (cultural and architectural) of Central Region Program Delivery meets the requirements of the Ontario Heritage Act and the Environmental Assessment Act and conforms to ministry policies and procedures.
You will: conduct the historical component of Regional Planning and Design studies; implement special mitigation measures; assist in the supervision of consultants; provide advice and assistance to offices within the ministry; represent Central Region as the authority on historical matters.
Qualifications:knowledge of heritage planning and assessment normally acquired through related education and / or field experience; sound knowledge of and ability to interpret the Ontario Heritage Act and environmental legislation relevant to highway design, construction and maintenance; good verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated organizational and supervisory skills; analytical, investigative and evaluative skills.
