In an effort to improve the breadth and quality of our services in this practice area, the services of an ambitious, experienced, professional planner are being sought.

With the support of highly qualified and inventive junior and intermediate planners and the guidance of industry veterans, this role calls for an individual with a proven, contextually relevant track record and a desire to build their own practice.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
•be capable of, and responsible for the preparation, delivery and approval of various development applications within the planning process; •have proven experience with defining and completing planning and multi-disciplinary studies for both public and private partners; • be entirely familiar with, and comfortable with building relations; •be comfortable with public speaking and prepared to represent IBI Group and its clients in public forums; •have the ability to multi-task including the management of staff workload while maintaining project timelines and budgets; •know how to create that added value for clients; •be keen to participate in, if not lead, bid preparation for in the interest of adding to their portfolio.
Qualifications:
The "ideal" candidate will:
•hold an advanced degree in Planning (Urban, Town, City, Regional or otherwise) with a complementary breadth of academic exposure to political science, urban design, sociology, economics, architecture or civil engineering; •have a firm understanding of the Ontario planning process from multiple perspectives (public and private sector) as well as knowledge of applicable local planning policies and development frameworks; •have proven themselves to be highly effective professionals through the effective management of major planning projects; •have experience at the Ontario Municipal Board as an expert witness; •be, or at least, be eligible for membership with CIP and/or OPPI.
