Environmental Data Analyst - Junior

Our Environmental Remediation group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in environmental site assessment, risk assessment, site remediation, toxicology, GIS, and Information Management. Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects ranging from Phase I/II environmental site assessments to both human and ecological risk assessment and complex Brownfield redevelopment projects. Responsibilities:


We have an immediate opportunity for a Junior Environmental Data Analyst to join our dynamic Environmental Remediation team in Kitchener, Ontario. As part of our Environmental Remediation Team, you will be responsible for maintaining, querying and reporting Environmental datasets. You may also be challenged with designing and developing customized databases for various projects. Specific responsibilities for the position include maintaining, querying and reporting data in MS Access and MS SQL Server, assisting in developing standards and procedures for data management, and legacy data conversions.


Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate you possess a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography or related fields, or a certificate/diploma in Database Management or environmental field. You like to work with datasets and have had exposure to environmental analytical data. You possess experience in data management, specifically using MS Access or SQL Server. Knowledge of third party Environmental data management applications such as EQuIS, Locus Focus, etc. is ideal. In addition, Knowledge of software packages and applications such as, Manifold, ArcView, AutoCAD, are considered assets. You are a self-motivated individual possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills and are willing to work in a team environment. Your strong project coordination skills are essential for you to meet the expectations of this challenging position.
