Salary: $2,097.06 to $2,414.48 bi-weekly

This is a full-time term position to June 2011.

Working as a member of the Mineral Resources team, you will be responsible for the provision of digitized mapping system development, data entry, and maintenance of support services for their Geographical Information System (GIS).
We are looking for an individual with good organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. If this opportunity interests you, please submit your resume clearly indicating your Diploma in GIS Technology, geography, resource management or related field combined with experience in the following:
- maintaining and developing GIS computer applications
- using large format plotters/printers, and;
- using digitized mapping software such as ESRI GIS software, preferably ArcView, ArcInfo or ArcMap.
Candidates who have completed coursework in GIS combined with considerable experience as described above will be equally considered.  A six month eligibility list will be established from this competition to fill future vacancies for identical positions and may also be used for similar positions within the department.
