Responsibilities
Manage transportation planning projects at municipal level in the GTHA, oversee project teams incorporating design and traffic staff as well as other necessary disciplines depending on project specifics, assist clients to secure necessary approvals to proceed to detail design and construction of transportation infrastructure , pursue such public-sector transportation planning projects in the GTHA and elsewhere.
Requirements
10 plus years experience
Degree in Geography and or Urban Planning
Planning Certification is desirable
Extensive knowledge of municipal and provincial approvals processes as they apply to transport infrastructure, expertise with traffic planning and operations analysis,1 functional planning for transportation projects, with particular emphasis on municipal roads, experience with upper and lower tier municipal government processes in Ontario, experience presenting to municipal committees and councils, experience on planning and hosting public information meetings, other aspects of the regulatory public communications process in Ontario.
